CHARLTON goalscoring legend Billy Kiernan has died in the Kent and Sussex Hospital at Tunbridge Wells. He was 80.

Only six players have scored more goals for the Addicks than left-winger Kiernan. He found the net 93 times in 401 league and cup appearances for the club between 1949-61.

He was admitted to hospital three weeks ago after suffering a stroke.
