MARGATE Football Club has gone into administration to protect the company from its creditors.

The club filed with the courts on Friday after being unable to reach a formal repayment plan.

The club has stressed that the course of action will not effect the return to Hartsdown Park next season.

Administrators have been appointed and negotiations for a voluntary agreement with creditors are set to take place over the next two months.
