Police hunting a man who shoved a schoolgirl into his van and attacked her have released this e-fit.

Detectives want to speak to the suspect in connection with the abduction in Snodland on Tuesday.

Officers said the 14-year-old was approached when she was walking home from school along Holborough Road in Snodland.

She was stopped by a man who wanted directions.

But as she was speaking to the man he pushed her into his van.

He then drove her around the Snodland area for around 30 to 45 minutes before letting her get out near the Favourite Chicken takeaway and Working Men's Club.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "During the journey the man assaulted the girl who suffered minor injuries.

"The assault was not of a sexual nature."

"We would like to hear from anyone who may have information about the identity of the man or who saw a white van, similar in size to a Ford Connect, in the area between 3.45pm and 5pm."

Anyone with information should contact police on 01732 379 217 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
