A MAN is being hunted by police after a 17-year-old girl was dragged into an alleyway and sexually assaulted.

The teenager was walking home when the man, believed to be eastern European, grabbed hold of her and pulled her into an alley opposite the Huntsman Pub in Pattens Lane, Rochester.

She was on her way home from a barbecue at a friend's house in the Weeds Wood area of Chatham. The attack happened between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on Sunday.

The man is described as 5ft 7in and in his early 20s. He was wearing dark trousers and a dark hooded top or jacket with a graffiti-type pattern on the front.
