A severe weather warning has been reported for the second day for Kent.

The Met Office is predicting heavy, slow-moving showers, particularly in the east of the county.

It warns of rain of up to 15 mm or more in three hours.

And it advises the public to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads

Yesterday, in the east of the county, the fire brigade tackled weather-related problems.

They were called to two properties in Walmer and two in Deal.

A fire engine was sent to Guildford Road in Deal, following reports of someone being trapped in their car.

The car was freed from water at just after 4pm today.
