Second arrest in murder inquiry

A second man from Ashford has been arrested in connection with the murder of mechanic Julian Gardner.

The 29-year-old was arrested on Friday.

Mr Gardner, 53, who ran a business repairing agricultural machinery, died near his workshop on a farm in Robertsbridge, East Sussex on October 11.

He suffered multiple injuries after apparently disturbing people trying to break into farm outbuildings.

Officers believe he may have been crushed between two vehicles.

Police arrested a 40-year-old man from Ashford on October 16. He has been bailed until November 25.
