AN EXTENSIVE land and search has failed to find a missing Sheppey man.

The search for 48-year-old Paul Rowlands who has been missing for more than three weeks, was launched at The Leas, Minster, Sheppey, on Sunday after police said their enquiries had led them to believe he may be in that area.

A Swale Police spokeswoman said: "We believed this may have been a suitable place for finding him, but unfortunately the search was unsuccessful."

Mr Rowlands is white, 5ft 6in with peppered grey hair. When he was last seen, he wearing light beige trousers and a beige long-sleeved top.

Anyone who may have seen him or with information on his whereabouts is asked to telephone Swale Police on 01795 477055.
