CHARING School near Ashford, the only primary in the county to have full-size trampolines, has four lads who have qualified for the national schools finals at South Shields, Northumberland, on Saturday.

The boys, Charlie Wall, Sasha Oliver, Scott Bates and Alex Macey, are coached by national judge Debbie Borthwick who runs two after-school sessions and a lunchtime club.

She also runs Boccia, netball, keep fit and gymnastics clubs at the school.

The lads recently won the boy’s under-11 zonal competition. It is a remarkable achievement for a school that has only 98 pupils.
