Cray Wanderers got back to winning ways as they romped to a 5-1 at Horsham to move within three points of the Ryman League Premier Division play-offs.

Goals from Mark Willy, Leigh Bremner, Jack Clark, Danny Phillips and a Tony Dolby penalty sealed the win for the visitors, who have played a game more than the sides they are chasing.

Margate drew 1-1 at home to Canvey Island.

Craig Thompson (pictured) made it six goals in six matches with a first half brace to put Hythe ahead, and though the visitors halved the deficit four minutes before half-time, the hosts wrapped up the points and went 10th thanks to Jimmy Dryden's strike eight minutes from the end.

Hythe leapfrogged Ramsgate, who lost 3-1 at Walton Casuals in a poor game.

The hosts scored from their only three shots on target, one a penalty, and all in the second half, before Ian Pulman pulled back a consolation in the last minute direct from a free-kick.

Danny Hockton was on the mark as Faversham Town drew 1-1 at Corinthian Casuals to go a place behind Ramsgate in 12th.

Sittingbourne are 13th after a goalless draw with Walton & Hersham at Bourne Park.

Cedric Abraham's strike for the Brickies, disallowed for offside on 14 minutes, was as close as either side came to breaking the deadlock.

Thamesmead Town are within sight of the play-offs in Division 1 North after a goalless draw at promotion-chasing Tilbury.

Mead are 11th, and six points off the play-off positions, but have at least two games in hand on the teams ahead of them.
