Chatham Town and Whitstable Town played out a goalless draw in Peter Nott's first game in charge of the Oystermen in Ryman League Division 1 South on Saturday.

Chats striker Aaron Firth saw a goal ruled-out for offside in the first half as the sides gained a point apiece which left Nott's (pictured) side three clear of the drop-zone and Chatham a further five points ahead.

Sittingbourne produced a gutsy display to overcome Walton & Hersham 1-0 to put their off-field problems to one side and move back up to seventh.

Billy Manners scored the only goal from the spot on eight minutes after the Swans keeper was sent-off for a foul on Ryan Golding.

Two first-half headers from Ashley Brown ensured Faversham Town overcame Horsham YMCA 2-0 to move up tom eighth.

The Lilywhites are within five points of the playoff places after Brown netted after 25 and 24 minutes.
