The Lilywhites lost the game 2-0 against the division’s leaders and their hopes weren’t helped by the dismissal of Dane Luchford (pictured).

Bognor scored their opening goal from the penalty spot, and with 35 minutes gone were a man down, when Luchford was sent off for comment made to the referee. It proved to be a hurdle too far for Faversham.

Sittingbourne sit ninth in the table following a 1-0 victory over Walton Casuals.

Nick Reeves scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot.

The points were shared in Chatham Town’s match against Worthing and both of the goals in a 1-1 draw were also penalties.

Billy Shinners scored Chatham’s opener with 12 minutes left but Worthing made it all-square two minutes later.

Ramsgate, in mid table, completed the double over Eastbourne Town with a 1-0 win.

Stuart Vahid scored the winning goal with a 37th minute header.

It was a day to forget for Whitstable in their game against Whitehawk at home.

After conceding the opener they levelled through Peter Hawkin and had the chance to level from the spot, only for Lloyd Blackman’s penalty to be saved. The referee ordered it to be retaken for encroachment but the keeper saved again.

Whitstable conceded twice more and lost 3-1.
