Television presenter Matt Skilton is to open a school fete on Saturday.

Matt co-presents the BBC programme Roar, which was filmed at Port Lympne and Howletts wild animal parks.

He will open Lympne school fete at 1pm and then be available for photographs with children, which will be printed on the day.

The fete, to be held at the school's temporary home in Ravenlea Road, Folkestone, will also include a face mask competition with an animal theme, maypole dancing, Irish dancing and karate.

This year children, parents and staff are looking forward to returning to a new school after a fire destroyed their old building.

Money raised at the fete will help towards creating a sensory garden at the new school.
