PUPILS of Selsted Primary School near Folkestone brought a campaign to save their school to television screens.

They were invited to perform their song, Save Our School, live on the Channel 4's Richard and Judy Show on Thursday after the couple received a copy of the CD in the post.

The emotive track has been created to raise awareness of the plight of the school which has been earmarked for closure by Kent County Council. A public consultation is currently taking place.

The five solo stars and 15 others were picked up by coach and taken to London where they were treated to lunch.

Costas Sotiriou from the Selsted Action Group said Judy Finnigan cried when she heard the CD.
