YOU could be forgiven for thinking that most dogs bark but Lola the dog prefers to Twitter.

Lola, who will be taking part in the Heart of Kent Hospice’s Bluebell Walk in May with her owner Jodi Eeles from Harrietsham, has signed up to share her tough training schedule with fellow walkers on the social messaging website Twitter.com

It will be the fourth Bluebell Walk for Mrs Eeles, but her first with one-year-old Lola.

She said: “I have walked the route twice, run the route once and now I am taking my dog on it as she is just old enough to do the distance.

“We are very lucky living in Harrietsham as there are some beautiful spots for dog walkers, but the Bluebell Walk is unique as private woodlands are opened up especially that we can’t normally access. It is such a fun walk to do and the bluebells are stunning.”

She added that setting up Lola’s page on Twitter.com was just a bit of fun.

“Lola is going to have her own page to keep people updated on her progress on getting her paws in shape for the 8.5 mile walk. I hope it appeals to people,” she said.

The annual Bluebell Walk starts at Harrietsham village Hall on Sunday, May 3. For details call 01622 790195 or email fundraising@hokh.co.uk To find Lola’s page, log on to Twitter.com and look for Bluebell Walk.
