Police welcome opening of new Hoo park

Police were in Hoo this week to help celebrate the official opening of the new multi-purpose ball park at the village hall.

Insp Robin Wharfe who is in charge of neighbourhood policing in the area said: "We fully support developments that give young people the chance to keep active in a safe environment.

"We have worked hard with the local council to ensure the success of this project and will keep on listening to residents’ concerns.

"We have a dedicated team of local PCs and PCSOs in Hoo and our relationship with the local community continues to get even stronger."

The park was officially opened on Monday October by the Mayor of Medway Cllr David Carr with support from National Grid Grain LNG who donated £40,000.
