Police seize motorbikes

Two motorbikes have been seized after an operation to target nuisance riders.

Police have been in the Grove Green area of Maidstone for the past two weeks cracking down on rogue bikers.

One bike was seized after the rider was caught doing a wheelie in Tesco car park and another was taken after reports of trouble in Penshurst Close.

The riders were both issued warnings by police and their parents informed of their behaviour.

To get their bikes back they will have to pay £105 costs and a daily fee while the machines are impounded.

Neighbourhood police officers are clamping down after the issue of nuisance bikes was highlighted as a priority in PACT (Partners and community together).
