A LARGE haul of drugs, believed to be heroin, has been found in a foreign goods vehicle.

The Belgian lorry was apprehended by Metropolitan police at Mill Hall Business Park, Mill Hall Road, Aylesford yesterday (Thursday).

PC Oakley from West Kent Police said: “A large quantity of what is suspected to be drugs has been found in a lorry.”

One man has been arrested in connection with the operation.

Steve Winter, who owns the Ministry of Muscle Gym overlooking where the lorry was stopped, said police was already at the scene when he arrived at 9.30am.

He said: “I think it started about 2am, I’m amazed the area wasn’t blocked off.

“There were about 20 police here they had all the palettes off the lorry and they had the stuff on the floor.

“There were lots of little packages wrapped in cellophane.”

He said police also raided a unit in the business park.
