Police probe after thieves target Lydd store

POLICE are investigating a burglary in which around £3,000 worth of cigarettes was stolen from a convenience store.

The incident took place on Friday between 10pm and 11pm at the store in High Street, Lydd.

A quantity of cash was also taken.

Weald police are appealing for information and would like to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area on that night.
