KENT Police have been warned that a refugee thought to be infected with a contagious and drug-resistant form of tuberculosis may be attempting to enter the country.

Ivan Burov, a 32-year-old Moldovan, was being cared for in a French hospital in Caen when he suddenly left before a treatment could be found to combat his condition.

A spokesman for Kent Police said they had made aware about the man by authorities in France. A spokesman said the force regularly received information about individuals attempting to enter Britain and Mr Burov had been mentioned recently.
