Police investigate 'sword' stabbing

A MAN has been treated in hospital after being stabbed in a street fight. It is believed he may have been injured with a sword.

Police were called to Market Street at Margate at about 6.30pm on Sunday after receiving several reports of a group of people fighting.

The injured man was taken to hospital with a stab wound to his leg but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A 29-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident. A sword has been seized by the police.
