Police in dawn drug raids

POLICE officers swooped on homes this morning in a series of dawn drug raids.

The Went Kent Police Tactical Team stormed a bungalow in Upper Grovenor Road, Tunbridge Wells, at 6.45am and carried out a fingertip search for drugs. There were no arrests.

At the same time a second team smashed its way into a first floor flat in Neville Terrace, Tunbridge Wells, using an 18kg battering ram. A man there was arrested on suspicion of assault.

A second man was arrested for drugs offences after officers forced entry to a flat in Henwood Mount, Pembury, near Tunbridge Wells, at 10am. He was handcuffed and taken to Tonbridge Police Station.
