POLICE are hunting ramraiders who tried to smash their way into a post office.

The would-be raiders crashed their car into the front window of the Cliffe Woods office but couldn't get through because a of safety grille.

Police believe the car used was a four-by-four Daihatsu, which was later found abandoned and burned out off the A2 at Tenacre Wood near Cobham.
