Police release CCTV image of man wanted in connection with sex attack on train.

A woman was sexually assaulted as she sat on a public train travelling to Sevenoaks.

The 46-year-old, from the town, was repeatedly "touched inappropriately" by a man who sat next to her on a train out of London Bridge.

It happened around 11.30pm on Thursday, May 10, but police have only just released this new CCTV image of a man they would like to question.

The man left the train at Sevenoaks, as did the victim, who later reported the incident to police.

Detective Constable Bob Gee, the investigating officer from the British Transport Police, said: “Quite understandably this man’s actions left the victim intimidated and very distressed and we’ll do everything we can to catch him.

“Offences like this are rare on the rail network but we treat them very seriously. If you recognise the man pictured, we want to hear from you.”
