Police given more time to question terror suspects, including one arrested in Kent

Police have been granted more time to question six women - including one arrested in Kent - following a counter-terrorism swoop.

The 43-year-old was arrested in the county after armed officers raided a house in Harlesden Road in north west London last week.

A 21-year-old woman was shot during the raid. She has since been released from hospital.

They are continuing to be questioned, along with a 20-year-old, a 19-year-old and two 18-year-olds.

All were arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of terrorist acts and detained under section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

The Met Police said "warrants of further detention" for up to a further seven days were granted today at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

Two men - aged 21 and 28 - and a 16-year-old boy, all arrested on April 27 either in or near the Harlesden Road address, have now been released without charge.
