DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses following a serious sexual assault on a 27-year-old woman.

The incident took place on Saturday, August 25, in Victoria Gardens, Chatham, between 6pm and 8pm.

Det Insp Melanie Brooks, who is investigating the incident, said: "We are keen to speak with anyone who may have any information, especially if you may have seen or heard anything suspicious around the time of the incident."
