Police appeal after cat shot by pellet gun

Police are appealing for information after a pet cat was shot with what is believed to be a pellet gun.

Three-year-old Merlin, was hit by the pellet sometime between 1am and 11am on Sunday, April 5 close to his home in Blinney Road, Allhallows.

Vets fear that, as a result of the wound, one of his front legs may have to be amputated as he has lost feeling in it.

PC Taylor said: "We take incidents such as this very seriously. This was a mindless act of violence against a defenceless animal and I would encourage anyone who knows about this incident or knows of people using pellet guns in this way to contact Kent Police."
