Jason Plowman is the new Kent trampolining champion

JASON PLOWMAN was crowned Kent Trampolining Champion at the county championships and his club, Gillingham Jumpers, won the Kent Club of the Year title.

Plowman led the elite men group from the first round after scoring 25.80, with team-mate Matt Swaffer second with a score of 25.10.

In the second round, both Plowman and Swaffer pulled out all the stops and completed routines with a tariff of 10.4.

Swaffer managed to score 32.20 but Plowman scored 21.70 to claim victory by just 0.20 points. James Coomber, also of Gillingham Jumpers, was third.

Gillingham Jumpers won the club competition after eight of their trampolinists took first place in the various individual events.

Teresa Storey beat team-mate Julie Clarke to the elite women’s title, with Julia Iles of Folkestone-based First Flight in third place.
