THE final point-to-point meeting of the South East area takes place at Peper Harow near Godalming on Saturday with the first of six races starting at 2pm.

At this meeting the area award winners will be decided. Chris Gordon currently leads the male riders’ table with 92 points, followed by Marcus Gorman with 80 points.

For the ladies there is a tie with both Cynthia Hayden and Hannah Grisell on 42 points each, followed by Caroline Taylor with 30.

All these riders have possible rides on Saturday with the exception of Taylor who suffered a dislocated hip in a heavy fall at the last Aldington meeting.

As far as the horses are concerned, Cape Stormer heads the table with 36 points with stable companion Old Kilminchy and Indoux both on 28 points.

There are plenty of entries for the meeting and with the recent rain there should be good sized fields.

This is a very popular meeting and race-goers are advised to arrive in plenty of time to avoid long queues.
