A petrol station in Ashford has reopened after a daring dawn raid by armed gunmen.

The Murco garage on Brookfield Road was dusted for prints and forensic tests were carried out by special officers from Kent Police after the armed hold-up this morning (Friday) shortly before 5am.

The two robbers entered the service station at about 4.35am, one with a dog-chain wrapped around his knuckles, and demanded cash.

They ended up leaving with several hundred pounds.
