Overweight Brandon Mower loses half his 32-stone body weight

A 32-stone graphic designer was determined to slim after putting on so much weight he got wedged in a train seat.

Shamed Brandon Mower, 33, became stuck in his seat on his way to a business meeting.

Unable to leave the train at his station, he had to continue for a further 20 minutes until the train reached its final destination and waited for everyone else to get off.

Red-faced Brandon, of Upper Fant Road, Maidstone, alerted the conductor - who spent 15 minutes prising the bulging bachelor out of his seat.

To add insult to injury, the ticket inspector then charged him the full price of his extended journey because he had delayed the next service.

Brandon was so ashamed he decided to change his lifestyle and joined Barming's Weight Watchers slimming group at St Andrew's Church.

Over five years he lost a staggering 16 stone and now weighs 16st 5lb - a healthy weight for his 6ft 4ins frame - and has become a full-time weight loss coach.

He said: "I just got my bum completely stuck. But looking back I'm not surprised - my backside was huge.

"I didn't alert any of the other passengers because I was too embarrassed but I'm sure they must have seen me struggling."

Brandon started to gain weight as a child and started to comfort eat to cheer himself up and became more and more withdrawn as an adult.

The train seat incident, on the Maidstone East to Victoria line, was the catalyst to a determined weight loss plan.

He began by going on small walks, which he gradually built up, before joining Weight Watchers three years ago.

He now runs 13 groups around Kent, including Shepway, Loose, West Malling and Coxheath, helping 300 slimmers.
