We can cause an upset at Huddersfield this weekend.

They have a fantastic home record and have invested heavily in their squad so will be looking to be right up there at the end of the season. I’m sure it will be a test for us.

Shortly after I arrived at the club we were in a similar situation where we hadn’t done particularly well away from home and nobody gave us a chance of winning up there.

Despite that, we totally dominated a game which we won 3-1 and there’s no reason why we can’t do that this time around too.

It’s an overnight trip for us as it’s a long way north and that means rooming up with someone. With my mate Mills away at Dagenham, it means I’ll be looking for another roomy. Stewy Lew put in a decent performance as a roomy last time so I might give him another shot. At least he doesn’t keep me up swearing in his sleep like Mills does, so that is a bonus!

Last weekend we managed another game without defeat at home, putting in a decent performance and maybe we deserved to take all the points.

Although Carlisle made it difficult for us, I felt that we edged it and had a few good chances to win the game, including a couple Jacko would normally stick away, not to mention a blatant penalty on Westy in the first half.

The referee seemed to be waiting for the linesman to give it but he didn’t have the courage to give it right in front of the travelling fans.

It was another clean sheet at home so we can’t be too disappointed with the result.

We are developing a reputation at home which we hope is instilling some fear into the opposition. One negative from Saturday was Joshy picking up a booking which rules him out of a couple of games.

It’s a blow because he’s been a mainstay of our back four this season. The booking itself was certainly harsh, a shirt pull 30 yards from goal is hardly a bookable offence! It gives someone else an opportunity, though, and I’m sure whoever steps in will do a good job.

We were without Fab on Saturday and unfortunately he’ll be out for a few weeks, which is disappointing, as he has shown what a clever player he is. Again we have to roll with the punch and kick on. Westy has done well when playing further forward so we will be fine.

There has been a bit of a bug going around recently. Benno was struggling on Saturday and we have all had to be extra vigilant with staying wrapped up and eating the right things to keep the bug away. We’ve managed to see it off without too many problems, though, as everyone seems to be fighting fit.

Finally, the FA Cup sees us travel to Accrington, which will be a good game for me as I have plenty of family from near there.

Hopefully, I can work my way into the side and play some part. Most importantly, though, we need to go there, be professional and get through to the next round as big rewards could await if we do.
