Kent Police say the death of a man in Margate this week is not being treated as suspicious.

Officers found the body of 72-year-old Geoffrey Cowell at his home in Wharfedale Road at around 11am on Wednesday.

The initial findings of a post mortem examination carried out yesterday have shown that his death is not believed to be suspicious.

A spokesman for Kent Police said that experts were now awaiting the results of further tests to help determine the exact cause of death.

A 56-year-old man, arrested in Wharfedale Road in connection with the incident, has now been released without charge.
