An Abbatial Blessing at St Augustine’s Abbey in Ramsgate saw Rt Rev Dom Paulinus Greenwood become the eighth abbot of the town’s monastery in 99 years.

Abbot Paulinus, of the Order of St Benedict, was presented with his mitre, ring and crosier, all symbols of his office, by the Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark, the Rt Rev John Hine during the service.
