Myles Weston is expected to be fit for selection again this weekend.

The striker has missed Gillingham’s last two matches with a back injury but has resumed training ahead of the game against Rochdale on Saturday.

Gills manager Martin Allen is unlikely to call upon Jack Payne, however, despite the midfielder showing signs of shaking off his groin injury.

He is set for a week of intensive training before being ready for a return for the Gills.

Charlie Lee is also set to miss out again.

Lee has been out with a knee injury and Allen said: "He is fine. He had a 28-break at snooker, he went to watch West Ham on Saturday and swam about 400 lengths of our swimming pool.

"He makes me smile and laugh every day and I don’t know if he’s going to be fit. He’ll probably be another two weeks."

Bradley Dack serves the second of a three-game ban and goalkeeper Ross Flitney remains out injured, as he recovers from a summer operation.
