Musician's jaw broken in motiveless attack

A MAN suffered a broken jaw when he was assaulted while performing music at a Kent high street pub.

The victim, a London man in his 50s, was attacked by a customer in The Oak public house, Rusthall, near Tunbridge Wells, at around 9.45pm on Friday.

Police say the assault was unprovoked. The victim will require surgery as a result of the attack.

A 21-year-old man arrested on Saturday in connection with the incident has been bailed.
