A woman charged with the murder of her 11-year-old son has appeared in court.

Jennifer Taylor spoke only to confirm her name, address and date of birth at Dartford Magistrates earlier today.

The 44-year-old, accused of killing son James at their home in Knights Croft, New Ash Green, did not enter a plea.

James' body was found at the property last Tuesday.

She has been remanded in custody and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, December 22.
