Missing man found safe and well

A diabetic man missing since Wednesday night has been found.

Joseph Tyler, 59, from Margate Close, Gillingham is currently being treated at Medway Maritime Hospital for hypothermia.

He was found at 7.22am this morning at the Riverside Country Park, Gillingham after he made a call to a relative.

His family called in police after getting a call from Joseph at 6pm on Wedneaday saying he was near water and a path and could see Kingsnorth Power Station.

Police believed that he suffered from various medical problems, including diabetes, and may have been confused and upset

Police handing out photos of Mr Tyler in the lower Gillingham area. The Kent Police helicopter was also called in to aid the search.
