Midweek Ryman League round-up

Whitstable earned a point in a 1-1 draw against promotion-chasing Bognor Regis in Ryman League Division 1 South - but it could quite easily have been three.

Bognor goalkeeper Craig Stoner was sent off after just 10 minutes for tripping Ian Pulman just outside the box and, with no goalkeeper on the bench, it was left for two outfield players to take turns between the sticks for the visitors.

However, high-flying Bognor took the lead midway through the first-half through Luke Nightingale, and they held the advantage until moments before the break when Pulman levelled.

Whitstable began to boss the second half and looked the more likely to win it, but they couldn’t find a way through the opposition defence as the points were shared.

Tonbridge Angels’ Ryman League Premier game at Concord Rangers was called off due to a frozen pitch.
