It's as you were at the foot of the Ryman League Premier Division table as Maidstone United stayed second bottom after a last-gasp 2-1 home defeat to Kingstonian on Tuesday night.

The promotion-chasers took the lead shortly after the half-hour but Danny Hockton (pictured) drew the Stones level 12 minutes from time after coming off the bench.

However the Ks snatched the points in the third minute of stoppage time to leave Maidstone a point from safety.

Folkestone Invicta remain one place above them on goal difference after a 2-0 defeat at home to Bury Town.

Goals in either half secured the points for the visitors to enhance their promotion credentials.

Margate had to hold on to draw 1-1 against Hendon at Hartsdown Park to stay 13th.

Craig Cloke's first-half goal put Gate ahead but the visitors produced a storming second half and had already missed a penalty before they equalised two minutes from time, and could have snatched it in the dying moments.

Cray Wanderers suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to fellow promotion chasers Lowestoft at Hayes Lane.

Wands slipped to fifth, behind the Suffolk side, after conceding the only goal on 48 minutes.

In Ryman League Division 1 South, Sittingbourne suffered a 1-0 defeat at leaders Met Police on Wednesday night.

The visitors began brightly but went behind shortly after the half hour after a horrendous mix-up at the back saw a backpass chased down and keeper John Whitehouse's attempted clearance blocked, with the rebound falling to Craig Watkins to tuck away.

Dan Palfrey hit a free-kick just over the bar and Nick Reeves went close with a header before the break as Bourne sought a leveller but the closest the Brickies got to an equaliser came 14 minutes from time when Ryan Golding saw a shot cleared off the line.

Faversham Town swept aside Bognor Regis Town 4-0 at the Shepherd Neame Stadium on Tuesday night to move within three points of the play-off places in seventh.

Dane Luchford (2), Dale Skelton and Tom Hickman were on target for the Lilywhites who have won three on the spin and lost just one of 14.

Bognor started the evening in second place and are one of the favourites for promotion.

Chatham Town went down 3-0 at home to Chipstead in front of a crowd of just 52.

After a goalless first half the visitors took the lead from a penalty and added two more before the end as the Chats stayed 16th, though having played more games than the sides below them.
