A double by Tom Bradbrook (pictured) lifted Margate into the top half of the Ryman League Premier Division table with a 3-1 victory at Met Police on Wednesday night.

His opener after 14 minutes was swiftly cancelled out by Staforde Palmer but Bradbrook struck again shortly before half-time and Matt Bodkin added the third in the 54th minute.

Chatham reclaimed second place in Division 1 North with a 1-0 victory at Ilford. Joe Fuller scored the only goal after 15 minutes.

Folkestone Invicta moved up third in Division 1 South with a 3-1 home win over Worthing, the previous occupants of that position.

John Lansdale put the Rebels ahead after 14 minutes but Ryan Moreby equalised on the stroke of half-time and then Invicta secured the points with late strikes by James Everitt and Josh Vincent.

Maidstone United maintained their steady progress up the table by beating Walton & Hersham 2-0. It was scoreless for 73 minutes before Shaun Welford made the breakthrough, in the process becoming the first player in the league to reach the nine-goal mark in all competitions. Alex Flisher got the Stones' second in added time.

Hythe Town earned their first away win of the season in Ryman League Division 1 South with a 2-1 success at Eastbourne Town on Tuesday evening.

Craig Thompson put Scott Porter's side ahead after just three minutes and although Eastbourne equalised five minutes later through Nathan Crabb, an 81st-minute header by new signing Laurence Harvey settled the issue.

Sittingbourne missed a first-half penalty when Billy Manners' effort struck the woodwork as they drew 1-1 at Merstham.

After a goalless first half, the home side went in front in the opening minute of the second half but Hicham Akhazzan equalised on 63 minutes.

Ramsgate suffered their second defeat in four days, going down 1-0 at home to Corinthian-Casuals while Whitstable's woes continued with a 4-1 defeat at leaders Dulwich Hamlet.

Trailing 3-0 at the break, Peter Nott's side produced a better second half display and Stuart Vahid pulled a goal back before Dulwich added their fourth goal.

Faversham drew 0-0 at home with Whyteleafe while in Ryman 1 North Thamesmead cruised to a 5-0 home win over Potters Bar Town
