Hythe Town moved into the top-eight of Ryman League Division 1 South with a 4-0 cruise against Whyeleafe on Tuesday night.

Town's fourth straight win, and third consecutive in the league, was started with Craig Thompson netting his seventh goal in as many starts inside three minutes.

Jimmy Dryden (pictured) doubled the lead on 67 minutes and Ronnie Dolan added a third in the final minute before Dryden notched his second, and third in two games, in injury-time to seal the rout.

The win left Hythe seven points adrift of the play-off places, though they have played at least a game more than the sides above them.

Ramsgate were pegged back by Godalming Town and had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

James Gregory rifled the opener on six minutes after Ian Pulman had seen a shot cleared and Simon Pettit made it 2-0 10 minutes later after a goalmouth scramble.

However the visitors pulled one back on 21 minutes and despite good work from Rams keeper Danny Twyman, snatched a point 14 minutes from time.

The draw kept the Rams 11th and Faversham Town remain a place behind them after going down 2-0 at promotion-chasing Bognor Regis Town, who went top with the win.

The game was delayed by more than half an hour due to Town being delayed by an accident on their way to the ground and on arrival they were forced to wear The Rocks' away kit.

Goals in either half ensured the points, though Town went close through Shane Hamshare and Tom Hickman.

In Division 1 North, Chatham Town were held at home by FA Cup heroes Redbridge.

Just three days after their 5-0 defeat at League 2 title-chasers Crawley Town, Redbridge took the lead following a controversial free-kick, but Jason Barton levelled shortly before the break, heading home Gary Tilley's corner.

After the break the visitors were reduced to 10 men after a defender collected two yellow cards while the game was delayed by a temporary floodlight failure.

The point took the Chats up to 14th, two places ahead of their opponents.
