Men bailed following murder

TWO men have been bailed in connection with the murder of Mark Evans in Thamesmead.

Following police enquiries, a 27-year-old and a 31-year-old have been bailed until November.

A post-mortem revealed Mr Evans, 44, of Abbey Wood, suffered 30 stab wounds, including a fatal wound to the heart, during the incident in Kale Road.

Three men, including two brothers from Thamesmead, were brought before Bexley magistrates yesterday accused of the murder.

Robert Randall, 24, of Holstein Way, Gary Wheal, 27, of Kale Road, and Carl Wheal, 36, of Lensbury Way were remanded in custody and will enter a plea later this month.
