Masked raiders escape with £3,000 of cigarettes

TWO men smashed the window of a petrol station and stole thousands of pounds worth of cigarettes.

The raid took place at the Sainsbury's supermarket petrol station in Reeves Way, Chestfield, near Whitstable, early on Monday. Police say the cigarettes taken amounted to £3,000.

The men are thought to have made off in a white Vauxhall Vectra car.

They were both wearing something over their face but one is described as of slim build, wearing dark jeans and a sweatshirt and the other was of larger build and wearing a dark sweatshirt.
