A worker was taken to hospital with suspected internal injuries after getting stuck in a forklift truck at a Dartford warehouse.

The man, who has not been named, was wedged between the driver's cab and the machine's lifting mechanism.

Firefighters and specialist search and rescue officers had to rip the truck apart to free the 52-year-old, who was then taken to Darent Valley Hospital.

Neither the Health & Safey Executive nor Dartford council are investigating the incident.

It happened in Clipper Boulevard West, part of Crossways Business Park, at about 2.30pm on Wednesday, February 9.
