Man seriously hurt in pub assault

A MAN was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after an incident outside a Kent pub.

Polcie said that two local men in their 20s were arguing in the Queen Phillipa at Railway Terrace, Queenborough, on Friday afternoon.

After they went outside, one man was punched. He was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.

Police arrested and charged a 20-year-old.

The area between the junction with Rushenden Road and High Street was sealed off for a number of hours while plice investigations, including forensics, were carried out.

The charged man is due to appear before magistrates on Monday.
