Man killed in chainsaw tragedy on farm

A 53-year-old man died after an incident involving a chainsaw and a tree on a farm in Kent.

Robert Saunders was pronounced dead after emergency services were called to Crowhurst Hop Farm at East Peckham, near Tonbridge, at around 5.30pm on Saturday.

Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious. A post mortem was carried out on Tuesday.

An inquest into the death of Mr Saunders, of Crown Acres, East Peckham, was opened and adjourned on Wednesday.

Inspectors from the Health and Safety Executive have visited the scene and investigations are continuing.
