A man has been killed under a lorry at Ashford Truck Stop.

Emergency services were called to reports that the victim was struck by a Scania articulated lorry being parked on Tuesday evening.

The tragedy at Waterbrook Avenue near Orbital Park happened just before 6.30pm.

A police spokesman said: "The man sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. We are investigating the incident."

The victim has not so far been identified and Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for witnesses.
