Man injured in nightclub bottle attack

Revellers who recently enjoyed a night out at Amadeus nightclub are being urged contact police, as they may have witnessed an altercation where a man was struck with a bottle.

Detectives investigating the incident say a 21-year-old man suffered a head injury during the assault, which happened inside the club in Medway Valley Park, Strood, between midnight and 1.30am on Friday, March 21.

It is said the man was talking to friends when he was pushed from behind.

When he asked the man pushing him to stop, he was struck with a bottle.

After the attack, he was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital by paramedics and was treated for cuts to his head.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the assault, he has now been bailed pending further inquiries.

The matter is being investigated by Detective Constable Steven Gibbins .

He said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed an altercation on the dance floor or the assault itself.
