A man has been rescued off the coast of Kent after being injured by his own jet-ski yesterday.

Police, the coastguard and an RAF helicopter were called in to help find the man after a member of the public reported seeing him being hit by his own jet ski off the coast of Herne Bay.

The call came in at around 4.30pm.

The 30-year-old was eventually found and was flown to the Queen Elizabeth Queen Mary Hospital in Margate, but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
