Man in hospital after crash

A man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a collision between a van and a foreign-registered lorry in Forstal Road, near the Aylesford industrial estate, early on Tuesday.

Forstal Road was closed until mid morning, causing congestion at the Running Horse roundabout at junction 6 of the M20.

The 20-year-old lorry driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. He is in police custody at Maidstone.

The cause of the collision is being investigated by Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
